Bright Lights in Glendale Arizona!

About Us

I'll spare everyone that thick dribble gushy details on how Kim and I came together. The cliff notes are, Kim and I met, we enjoyed being with each other, so we got married.  We have been living happily ever since.
Why the name "twodoglights.com?" We'll we wanted to include "our kids" "Chili and Bean",  I wanted "wigglyasses.com" since Beans tail never stops moving, Kim wasn't too pleased with that so the thought of the 2 dogs and lights, sounded like "3 dog night" , yep that old 60's group., and that "LED" went off!
I loved Christmas lights for a long time, even when I lived back in Ga, I had the roof facing US60  in Columbus covered with several  sets of those " multi sequencing" lights 20 years ago when they first came out. Evidently I got the scrooge bug for many years after I moved to Arizona, where we are today. I especially hated  the put up and take down lights using staples.  Kim loves Christmas time! She loves to decorate the house. Kim had to nudge me for the first 2 years we were married to just to put up lights. But a few years ago, even though I did give her a little grief, I found some simple little plastic clips that changed everything. I was finally smiling about putting up Christmas lights again! We were done in about an hour, and it turned out great (now it takes us almost 4 weeks)!   While we were admiring our handiwork, I turned to Kim and said, " all this needs is to be put  to music"  Kim then turned to me, "if you can figure out how ,YOU CAN DO IT!!"  Being the "geek" that I am,  within a week I found a few forums, LightORama,  along with other sites and a Local "lighting enthusiast group!"  The neighborhood will never be the same again!

"Twodogs"
Chili and Bean!

But now there is 3!!

Foxy!

A little about the "2 dogs". Chili and Bean. well 4 with Foxy!

(But I am not changing the web site name)

Chili

Chili is my stepdaughters dog, but we have somewhat adopted him since he has the run of the house and yard!  He is part Chihuahua and Pomeranian. Hate to say he is pretty much prima dona.

Bean
We acquired Bean the day before Kim and I left to get Married in Vegas as a buddy for Chili. I got a call at work stating that we now have a new family member. While Kim was finishing packing for our trip I was relaxing on the bed with Bean. Bean decided to leave me with a little present (poop) next to my leg as a way to introduce herself to me. Of course she got up and her little butt was wiggling away, like nothing was wrong.

Foxy

Kim one day this year decided it was time to add another member to the family. She wanted to adopt a dog from a rescue. She browsed online and found a place that had 2 or 3 little ones that interested her. We went on my day off to take a look. This one little doggy, just would not leave Kim when she entered the pen. She was peppy and all fired up, and was pushing other dogs much bigger than her away. WE had another appointment we had to tend to, But we decided to go back and get Foxy!  Well the fun begins, within an house she was running in and out of the dog door. BUT we found little things we feel is why she was put into a shelter. She had a little "piddling" problem , and she chewed everything. She took out the blinds, a hair dryer, a wII controller, and any toy that has eyes! We also found she got a bit more distructive if we left for a little while. Trust me when I say she came close to going back to the shelter. But Kim kept pushing me to give her some more time. It has been 7 months now, and we have seemed to have gotten these under control for now. She is settling in finally and becoming an excellent addition.

With the demands of work,  these 3 little dogs, along with my wife, seem to keep me much more stress free than I ever have been!

Our stepdaughter knows there is no way we could ever separate these 3.  So I guess Chili is our dog now. These 3 get tons of attention from us, especially from Kim. The dogs stay pretty much around Kim most of the time,
UNTIL 8 pm, when they start looking for me for “cookie time.”

Bean is a true lapdog.  She follows us around the house on our heels everywhere. We

haven’t quite figured out what breeds she is, but we really don't care.  This has to be the

happiest dog I have ever seen. That tail never stops moving!  When we leave for a bit, she

meets at the door and her little butt is going to town. We can even go outside and she gets

so excited when we come back in. When she was a puppy she was really quiet, UNTIL she

found out she had a voice. Now she is louder than Chili!

This is Chili!  Chili can be under the bed, sense the cat outside,

and be out in the yard in a flash!

He barks at most everything which make hims a good little watchdog.

He loves to go for rides! We had a little scooter for awhile,

so our stepdaughter bought him "doogles"

and would put him in her backpack and take him for rides.

He hates the wood floors, so we have to put throw rugs out so he has little paths.

He has a very unique personality, but we love him anyways!

This is Foxy!  She was most definitely a handful when we first got her. She would chew on most everything. Blinds, cords, and tends to favor toys with eyes.. She is slowly breaking those bad habits, and getting  more settled in. She rips through the house playing constantly. She also likes being out doors. We'll find her outside with a toy tossing it in the air by herself!  Since she was a sheltered dog, it has taken her some time to realize this is HER home, and she isn't going anywhere!  2011 will be her first Christmas with us.. should be interesting!
